Apple Restores Telegram to App Store After Brief Removal Over Content Policy Violation

Apple briefly removed the Telegram messaging app from its App Store on Monday after a review found content that violated the company’s guidelines prohibiting child sexual abuse material.

The tech giant said the app was restored after Telegram’s developers quickly removed the offending content and banned the user responsible for posting it.

Responding on X, Telegram wrote: “Reports of my demise are greatly exaggerated.”

Apple did not provide further details about the specific guideline violation, while Telegram did not respond to additional requests for comment.
