The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has extended the normal registration deadline for the 2026 PLE, UCE, and UACE examinations to June 30. Speaking today, UNEB Executive Secretary Dan Odongo said the extension is intended to give newly accredited examination centres enough time to complete candidate registration. UNEB also announced that late registration will run until July 31, although candidates registering during this period will face penalties. PLE candidates will pay a 100% surcharge, while UCE and UACE candidates will be charged a 50% surcharge. The examinations body emphasized that no registration will be accepted after July 31. Schools and examination centres have been advised to register candidates early to avoid last-minute delays and system congestion.
