A joint security search that lasted more than eight hours at the home of outgoing Parliament Speaker Anita Among appears to have ended, after most operatives withdrew from the residence in Nakasero by around 11:00am on Sunday. However, a small group of VIPPU officers remained sitting along the roadside near the main gate, with very little activity observed entering or leaving the property at that time. The whereabouts of Among are still unclear, though it is believed she stayed inside the house throughout yesterday’s tense operation. Authorities had not yet issued an official update on the investigation, while Among and her aides remained silent, with little to no activity on their normally active social media accounts.
