Lawyers representing Pastor Mwesige Solomon Brian have issued a notice of intention to sue New Vision Printing and Publishing Company Limited over reports linking him to the alleged theft of gold worth UGX 2.9 billion. The lawyers contend that the publications portrayed Pastor Solomon as a fraudster and criminal before the allegations were determined by a competent court. They are demanding the immediate removal of the publications, a full retraction and public apology in both The New Vision and Bukedde, alongside corrections across the media house’s digital platforms. The media house has been given three days to comply, failure of which could lead to legal action seeking UGX 1 billion in damages.
