Kendall Jenner surprised fashion fans at the Met Gala 2026 by revealing a dramatic second look after stepping inside the venue.

On the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, Kendall first appeared in a draped ivory gown designed by Zac Posen for GapStudio. However, that was only part of her full outfit.

Once inside the event on May 4, she unveiled massive angel wings attached to the dress, transforming her look into a bold artistic statement. The wings featured a striking image inspired by the famous sculpture Winged Victory of Samothrace, aligning perfectly with the night’s theme, “Fashion Is Art.”

The gown itself, hand-dyed in tea, was designed to reflect the “wet drapery” effect of the iconic statue, also known as Nike of Samothrace. According to Zac Posen, the design was meant to blend fashion with the human body, turning the wearer into part of the artwork.

“The look started with a simple white T-shirt and evolved into something sculptural and fluid, inspired by movement and the energy of the sea,” he explained.

Later in the night, Kendall changed again for an after-party, removing the outer layer of the gown and wearing a flesh-toned corset underneath. The corset was uniquely designed using a 3D model of her own body, making it a custom-fit piece.

Kendall said she enjoyed being part of the creative process, praising Posen’s vision and attention to detail.

Her bold fashion choices made her one of the standout stars of the night, fully embracing the Met Gala’s celebration of fashion as art.
