Ronaldo Fires Al Nassr To First Saudi League Title In Seven Years

The Portugal legend delivered a moment of brilliance and inspiration, curling in a free kick before adding another clinical finish as Al Nassr cruised to a 4-1 victory over Damac FC, sealing the club’s first league title in seven years on the final day of the season.

Sadio Mane and Kingsley Coman had both found the net to put Al Nassr in control, but a penalty from Damac briefly threatened the celebrations before 41-year-old Ronaldo turned back the clock to put the game beyond doubt and secure the title.

Ronaldo claimed his first Saudi league title since joining Al Nassr in 2023, ending the club’s long wait in his third season. It also marks his first league triumph since winning Serie A with Juventus in 2020, ending a six-year wait for another domestic crown and adding an eighth league title to his decorated career.

The triumph is Ronaldo’s second trophy in Saudi Arabia after lifting the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023. He also becomes the first player to win top-flight league titles in four different countries, having previously done so in England, Spain, and Italy.

Al Nassr finished the season on 86 points, two ahead of rivals Al Hilal, to secure their 10th league title.
