Ugandans Raise UGX 24 Million for Spire Ssentongo

Ugandans have raised UGX 24 million in the last 24 hours to support activist and academic Dr. Jimmy Spire Ssentongo after he was ordered by court to pay UGX 30 million.

The fundraising campaign has attracted widespread public support, with contributors describing the donations as a show of solidarity, appreciation and defiance.

With UGX 24 million already collected, the campaign is now just UGX 6 million short of its UGX 30 million target.
