Fangone Forest singer Alien Skin has spoken out about his hiatus from music, explaining that his intention was to create a sense of rarity and make the industry feel his absence. A few months ago, Alien Skin announced on social media that he was stepping away from the entertainment scene, citing excessive pressure and ongoing controversy. As reasons, he mentioned that he had grown tired of constant criticism from both fans and fellow artists, which often pushed him into depression. Speaking to the press, Alien clarified that he wasn’t fleeing the music world but instead taking a temporary break. He stated that this move was aimed at making his music less readily available, while also reducing how much attention he drew from his critics. “I wasn’t escaping from music. I just paused for a while. Secondly, I was building scarcity so that the industry would long for me. I had saturated the market with my music, and people started speaking negatively about me. But once I took that break, all that talk stopped. They were doing all of that hoping to push me into depression,” he said. Alien Skin also announced that his concert will take place in one day, with barely any time left for promotions. Still, he expressed no concern about the possibility of low attendance, because he trusts that his fan base is large.
